Report to committee concerning infrastructure assessment of the Arden Shores Estates Water System.
Staff Summary
· The County owns and operates the water supply and distribution system that serves 23 homes within the Arden Shores Estates subdivision.
· The subdivision is located in an unincorporated area north of the Village of Lake Bluff and south of the City of North Chicago, along Green Bay Road.
· The County has retained the engineering firm of Greengard, Inc. to assess the condition of the water system and prepare a report on recommendations for upgrades to bring the system into compliance with IEPA standards.
· Various options were examined on possible system upgrades and cost estimates were developed to ascertain the life cycle costs of each option.
· Discussion of the findings of the report will be reviewed with Committee for direction.
