RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, on May 16, 2024, Lake County entered into an Agreement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for $4,000,000 of Community Project Funds (CPF) for the environmental remediation of the Sheridan Crossing Property located in the City of North Chicago; and
WHEREAS, Lake County designates the City of North Chicago as a subrecipient under 2 CFR Part 200.1 to conduct environmental remediation activities at Sheridan Crossing; and
WHEREAS, Lake County wishes to convey CPF to the subrecipient for the completion of the project; and
WHEREAS, Lake County will retain up to $100,000 for eligible administrative costs reimbursement; and
WHEREAS, the Subrecipient Agreement defined the terms, conditions, roles and responsibilities for the County and Subrecipient.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Chair of the Lake County Board or their designee is hereby authorized to execute the attached Subrecipient Agreement with the City of North Chicago.
