Staff Summary
* Lake County Workforce Development desires to utilize Lake County Partners for business outreach and retention services to reduce areas of duplication and improve efficiencies in meeting the needs of Lake County companies.
* The Workforce Investment Board recommends this contract with Lake County Partners to complete 120 unique employer visits in the key industry sectors of Healthcare, Manufacturing and Information Technology and address qualifications in the high growth, high wage occupations needed in these sectors.
* Pursuant to Article 6, Section102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, the Purchasing Agent consulted with an ad hoc review group that approved a bid exemption on the basis of an existing long standing, successful relationship.
* The contract authorizes a professional services agreement for a one year term with the option to renew for three additional one year terms that will cost an annual amount of $73,216.

WHEREAS, Lake County Workforce Development desires to have Lake County Partners be awarded a contract to do business outreach and retention; and

WHEREAS, the Workforce Investment Board recommends that Lake County Partners be awarded a contract to do business outreach and retention; and

WHEREAS, Lake County Workforce Development has a long standing successful relationship with Lake County Partners as a business outreach partner; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with Article 6, Section 102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, the Purchasing Agent consulted with an ad hoc review group that approved a bid exemption on the basis of an existing long standing and successful relationship.
