R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted by this Board of Lake County, the County Engineer heretofore called for sealed bids by publication for the rehabilitation of Lake Avenue (County Highway 68) from IL Rte. 173 to the Wisconsin state line, including the replacement of two (2) bridge decks, and designated as Section 08-00148-02-FP; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication calling for said bids, sealed bids were received and opened on October 26, at 10:00 a.m., at the Lake County Division of Transportation in Libertyville, Illinois, a tabulation of said bids being as follows:
· Curran Contracting Company, Crystal Lake, IL $1,715,586.11
· Campanella & Sons, Inc., Wadsworth, IL $1,883,013.11
· Berger Excavating Contractors, Inc., Wauconda, IL $1,978,197.72
· A Lamp Concrete Contractors, Inc., Schaumburg, IL $2,083,579.67
WHEREAS, the Public Works and Transportation Committee, the County Engineer, and the Purchasing Agent have examined each bid, and it appears that the lowest responsible bidder is Curran Contracting Company, Crystal Lake, Illinois, based on estimated quantities and unit prices; and
