• General engineering and support services are needed throughout the year to supplement in-house design services and improve the County highway system.
• An appropriation of funds is required each fiscal year for these support services.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, maintains more than 50 bridges, approximately 300 centerline miles of designated County highways, and more than 60 miles of bike facilities on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, needs to acquire miscellaneous services from time to time to address items such as soil, environmental, drainage, bridge, wetland, easement, and right-of-way purchases; and
WHEREAS, to acquire necessary general engineering and support services, an appropriation of funds is required each fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $94,900 of County Bridge Tax funds, $154,400 of Matching Tax funds and $159,000 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation funds for Fiscal Year 2022 general engineering and support services needed to address items such as soil, environmental, drainage, bridge, wetland, easement, and right-of-way purchases during Fiscal Year 2022, and designated as Section 22-00000-02-EG.
