WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for Renovation of Lincoln Plaza, located at 18 No. County St., Waukegan, IL for Lake County; and
WHEREAS, invitations for bids were extended to fourteen (14) vendors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from four (4) vendors and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, Illinois on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, Rasch Construction, Kenosha, WI is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for Renovation of Lincoln Plaza in the amount of $1,020,200.00 and other bids were received from: Boller Construction, Waukegan, IL - $1,0436,000.00; Stuckey Construction, Waukegan, IL - $1,462,712.00; and G.E. Riddiford Company, Arlington Heights, IL - $1,980,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County,
Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby directed to enter into a contract with Rasch Construction and Engineering, Inc., of Kenosha, WI in the amount of $1,020,200.00 for Renovation of the Lincoln Plaza located at the Administration Building, 18 No. County St., Lake County, charging account 101-1103285-82020-032-000-11170 and requests its adoption.
