* Lake County Public Works' Vernon Hills Water System serves approximately 30,000 residents in in the Village of Vernon Hills and surrounding areas, including unincorporated Knollwood and Rondout, as well as parts of Mettawa.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns, operates and maintains numerous water systems throughout the County including the Vernon Hills Water System, which serves approximately 30,000 residents in the Village of Vernon Hills and surrounding areas; and

WHEREAS, the Vernon Hills Water System requires additional drinking water storage; and

WHEREAS, the addition of a new two-million-gallon water storage reservoir to the Vernon Hills Water System is the most economical and efficient method to ensure continued reliable service; and
