Joint resolution authorizing an amendment to the Title IV-D Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (IDHFS) and the Lake County State’s Attorney for the State’s Attorney’s Child Support Enforcement Program.

 

Staff Summary

                     Since 1985, the State’s Attorney’s Office has entered into an annual Intergovernmental Agreement with the IDHFS to provide child support enforcement services.

                     IDHFS has executed a five-year contract for 2021 to 2025.

                     An amendment is necessary to modify Article 5.3.20 of the Agreement, with regards to Payment Path Change (PPC) notices. All other terms and conditions shall remain in full force and effect.

RESOLUTION

 

WHEREAS, the State’s Attorney’s Office has requested an amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) for Child Support Enforcement Services as it relates to PPC notices, and IDHFS has provided acceptable amendatory language to the Agreement; and

 

WHEREAS, it is necessary to authorize the agreement amendment attached hereto.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the amendment to Intergovernmental Agreement Number 2021-55-013 is hereby approved; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the State’s Attorney shall serve as project director for the program, and accurate records of all necessary grant compliance requirements shall be kept by the State’s Attorney Office; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chair of the County Board and the Lake County State’s Attorney are hereby authorized to execute the necessary documentation to approve the attached agreements.
