· On November 9, 2004, the Lake County Board approved a RFP award to JDM Infrastructure of Rosemont, IL, in the amount of $34,713 for an Anti-Spam Solution for Lake County for a one (1) year period plus renewal options.
· There is a need to extend the current contract for a one (1) year period.
· Emergency action is required in order to secure an Anti-Spam Solution.
· JDM Infrastructure has offered a one (1) year contract extension.
· Section 6-103 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, the Chief Information Officer certified that an emergency condition existed necessitating immediate action.
· This service will cost an amount of $29,522 for a one (1) year period, charging the cost thereof to account #101-1300020-71230-000-000-000-13348.

WHEREAS, on November 9, 2004, the Lake County Board approved a RFP award to JDM Infrastructure of Rosemont, IL, in the amount of $34,713.00, for an Anti- Spam Solution for Lake County for a one-year period plus renewal options; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to extend the current contract for a one (1) year period; and
WHEREAS, Information and Technology Services is presently researching the anti-spam product industry for a solution to meet the requirements of the County. This effort in researching solutions, developing requirements, both technical and functional, bid, negotiation, award and running new a system parallel will take approximately twelve (12) months. Further, the November, 2008 election will lock-down all Production Systems for thirty (30) days prior, making this an inopportune time to evaluate other products; and

WHEREAS, JDM Infrastructure has offered a one-year contract extension; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to act immediately to...
