Resolution authorizing a contract with Insurance Program Managers Group, St. Charles, Illinois, (Insurance Program Managers Group) for third party administration of civil, auto, workers compensation and property claims in an estimated amount of $176,195.
Staff Summary
* The current contract for third party claims administrator for the County's self-insured workers' compensation, general liability, and auto claims program expires in May 2019.
* There is a need to continue contracting for these services with a provider that can deliver objective and measurable results to reduce the cost and duration of claims, provide claim processing in a timely and professional manner, assist in returning injured employees back to work and maintain strong communications with the injured worker, claimants and the County.?
* A Request for Proposal (RFP) was developed and reviewed by an interdepartmental committee comprised of representatives from Human Resources, Health Department, Sheriff's Office and the Division of Transportation.
* The RFP was sent to 21 vendors and proposals were received from four vendors. Interviews were conducted with two firms.
* The review team determined that Insurance Program Managers Group was identified as the most qualified and most favorable for Lake County.
* Annual ongoing costs for the service, estimated at $176,195 based on an average number of claims by type, which were reported over the last three years are budgeted within the Fiscal Year 2019 risk management operating budget.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, proposals were called for by publication for Third Party Administration of workers compensation claims; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, request for proposals were extended to 21 vendors; and
