Resolution appointing Michael Peck, Superintendent of the Veteran’s Assistance Commission, to have charge of interment of indigent veterans and their families.

Body

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Illinois Compiled Statutes, Chapter 55, Section 5/5-27001, the County Board shall designate a person who shall cause to be properly interred the body of any honorably discharged veteran or their family members, who may die in such county without having sufficient means to defray the funeral expenses; and

                     WHEREAS, it is the request of your Chairman that Michael Peck, Superintendent of the Lake County Veteran’s Assistance Commission, be appointed to serve in this capacity.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the appointment of Michael Peck to have charge of interment of indigent veterans and their families is hereby confirmed.
