RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County State's Attorney's Office has been awarded a SFY 2023 Grant from Illinois General Assembly through the Illinois AG Office, for the time period of January 1, 2023 through June 30, 2023, in the amount of $30,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County State's Attorney's Office will use this funding to implement victim text messaging software used to inform crime victims of important dates and times of criminal trials; and
WHEREAS, the AG Grant is in the amount of $30,000 and it is necessary to appropriate this amount; and
WHEREAS, the State's Attorney's Office recommends that the Chairman of the County Board, the State's Attorney and the Treasurer be authorized to execute the necessary documents to accept and execute the grant.
