R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, in order to preserve the condition of the bituminous highway pavements and shoulders, and bike path pavements on the designated routes on the County highway system and the County bike path network the Division of Transportation annually undertakes work, where necessary, including pavement patching, pavement shoulder repairs, bike path resurfacing and bike path seal coating, hereinafter, bituminous maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of bituminous maintenance activities for 2014 is $960,000.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $960,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for bituminous maintenance for fiscal year 2014 on various County highways and bike paths, and designated as Section 14-00000-13-GM.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the "Agreement of Understanding" between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 18, 2013.
