· The Public Works Maintenance facility in Libertyville is a 22,500 square foot metal building that houses the departments’ trucks, equipment and materials used for system maintenance and repairs.
· The maintenance facility requires renovation of the exterior facade including siding repair, window and gutter replacement and painting, and has been budgeted for renovation in 2009.
· The County solicited and received responsive bids from fourteen (14) contractors.
· MJG Enterprises Corporation of Chicago, IL submitted the lowest responsive responsible bid, and has done work of similar scope for other municipalities with good results.

WHEREAS, the County of Lake owns and maintains the Public Works Maintenance Building in Libertyville; and
WHEREAS, the Maintenance Building is over 35 years old and requires rehabilitation including the replacement of the existing building windows, siding, gutters, downspouts and doors; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Rules of this County Board, bids were called for by publication for the Maintenance Building Façade Renovations; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, invitations to bid were extended to nineteen (19) contractors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received and publicly opened in the office of the Public Works Department on Thursday, March 26, 2009, at 2:00 p.m., the bid prices were as follows:
