• The $1,562 Illinois Department of Human Services grant will be used to cover staff salary increases and fringe benefits.
• The $1,562 in additional grant funding has not been previously appropriated because the grant resources were secured after the County’s adoption of the Fiscal Year 2023 budget.
• The grant award will be for the period July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024.
• If grant funding for the positions and services end, and new funding is not secured, the positions and services will be eliminated.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center has received a grant increase delivered by our Clinical Operations Unit; and
WHEREAS, these dollars will provide a legitimate increase in services to Lake County with no impact on local taxes; and
WHEREAS, this grant amount totaling $1,562 has not been previously appropriated, having been awarded after adoption of the Fiscal Year 2023 budget; and
WHEREAS, the proposed appropriation will be fully offset by the above referenced items thereby not requiring the expenditure of local tax revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $1,562 is hereby authorized in the Health Department budget as identified on the listing of expense and revenue budget modifications attached hereto and made part hereof; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the revenue budgets as identified on the attached listing be modified as provided by increased funding from the following:
Illinois Department of Human Services - Mental Health Community Integrated Living Arrangement, $1,562.
