Staff Summary

The Stormwater Management Commission (SMC) has received an agreement from IL EPA for a grant (6042406) to complete watershed-based planning in the Fox River watershed in Lake County.

The amount of the grant agreement and award is $180,000.  Local match in the amount of $36,000 will be provided by SMC through a combination of in-kind staff labor and budgeted costs for consultant assistance.

Funding will support development of a watershed-based plan for the Fox River watershed in Lake County, including development of new programmatic and action recommendations for the Lower Fox River and Sequoit Creek subwatershed planning areas, which are not included in existing watershed-based plans.

SMC will use the funding to pay for a project consultant to assist with development of the plan as well as a graphic design consultant to assist with layout of the plan report.   Costs will be reimbursed by IL EPA.
