Staff Summary

·      The rate ordinance establishes all water and sewer user rates and connection fees for the County's water and sewer systems, and it is revised periodically.

·      This proposed ordinance revision increases the water rate for CLCJAWA Service areas from $5.69 per 1,000 gallons to $5.75 per 1,000 gallons as a result of a direct pass-through from a rate increase by CLCJAWA effective May 1, 2011.

·      Modification to the Hawthorn Woods-Glennshire water rate from $5.33 per 1,000 gallons to $5.43 per 1,000 gallons per terms of a contract with Aqua Illinois.

·      Modification to the Arbor Vista sewer rate from $5.55 per 1,000 gallons to $5.92 per 1,000 gallons as a result of a direct pass-through from a rate increase by the Village of Grayslake.

·      This ordinance revises select retail sewer and water user fees to be effective June 1, 2011.
