Committee action to modify Contract #25129 for Benefits Consulting Services.
Staff Summary
• In March, 2006, the Lake County Board approved a contract with Buck Consultants, Chicago, Illinois in the amount of $116,000 per year for Benefit Consulting Services.
• There is a need to issue Contract Modification #1 for Dependent Eligibility Audit Services.
• The circumstances that necessitate this Contract Modification were not reasonably foreseeable at the time the contract was signed. The changes are germane to the original contract as signed, are in the best interests of the County and authorized by law.
• In accordance with Article 8, section 101 (1) of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, it is hereby requested that the Purchasing Agent be authorized to enter into Contract Modification #1.
• This contract modification will cost the County $50,000 charged to account #510-1430010-71150.
