R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the TMA of Lake Cook is desirous of utilizing CMAQ funds to develop a Lake Cook/Braeside Shuttle Bug Service Demonstration Project within the Lake Cook Road corridor; and
WHEREAS, CMAQ funds are made available only to units of local governments; and
WHEREAS, this Lake County Board, by prior resolution, authorized the execution of an agreement between the State of Illinois and Lake County for the use of CMAQ funds for said Lake Cook/Braeside Shuttle Bug Service Demonstration Project within the Lake Cook Road corridor; and
WHEREAS, this Lake County Board, by prior resolution, appropriated $212,000 of Matching Tax funds for this demonstration project; and
WHEREAS, the TMA of Lake Cook and Lake County are desirous on entering into an agreement for the use of said CMAQ funds and reimbursement to Lake County of the local share, for the development of a Lake Cook/Braeside Shuttle Bug Service Demonstration Project within the Lake Cook Road corridor, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.
