· This bike path was built, by agreement, on ComEd and Union Pacific Railroad UPRR property.
· The duration of the contract construction has expanded due to the unexpected length of time required for ComEd and Union Pacific Railroad to review plans and work methods.
· Alignment changes during construction were made to address the requirements of ComEd and to address concerns raised by Lake Forest open lands.
· This supplemental appropriation of $15,000 of Motor Fuel Tax fund is needed to cover consultant change order # 1 & final which totals $25,685.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois by prior resolution appropriated $210,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for Phase III engineering services (Construction Engineering) for the construction of the Skokie Valley Bike Path from Laurel Avenue in Lake Forest to the North Shore Bike Path at IL Rte. 176 in Lake Bluff including an underpass beneath the Union Pacific Railroad and designated Section 94-00241-00-BT; and
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation of funds is deemed necessary for the Phase III engineering services (Construction Engineering) for the above said improvement; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated $15,000 of Motor Fuel Tax Funds for the Phase III engineering services (Construction Engineering) for the construction of the Skokie Valley Bike Path from Laurel Avenue in Lake Forest to the North Shore Bike Path at IL Rte....
