* The Children's Advocacy Center and the Lake County State's Attorney's Office will use the funds to provide partial funding for the salary and benefits for the current four Victim Advocates, Program Director, Director of Outreach and Engagement, Executive Assistant, and contractual work for Forensic Interviewers assigned to the grant program.
* If funding for these positions ends, and new funding is not secured, the positions will be eliminated.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS) has announced a 12-month continuation of the grant program to provide direct services to child victims of crimes during the period of July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds of $626,682.48 for this program will provide salary and benefits for current staff which includes three full-time Victim Advocates, one part-time Victim Advocate with an increase of 8 hours per week, Program Director, Director of Outreach and Engagement, Executive Assistant, and contractual Forensic Interviewers assigned to the grant program.
