R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, 21^st St. (County Highway 67) and Russell Rd. (County Highway 19) are designated routes on the county highway system; and

WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if two failing retaining walls on  21^st St. (150 ft. east of Delany Rd.) and two on Russell Rd. (250 ft. east of Lewis Ave.) were replaced; and

WHEREAS, plans, specifications and estimates of costs for this improvement have been completed and this improvement is now ready to proceed to a contract letting; and

WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held an appropriation of funds is needed.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that there is hereby appropriated $315,000 of Matching Tax funds for the replacement of two failing concrete block retaining walls on 21^st St. (150 ft. east of Delany Rd.) and two on Russell Rd. (250 ft. east of Lewis Ave.) and designated as Section 09-00999-08-GM.
