Resolution providing for the appointments of Michele Mrachek, Todd Needlman, and Joseph Bridges as temporary commissioners of the Skokie Consolidated Drainage District.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the commissioners of the East and West Skokie Drainage Districts filed a Petition to Consolidate; and
WHEREAS, a hearing on the Petition was held on August 31, 2023, during which the Petition was considered and approved by the Court; and
WHEREAS, Section 70 ILCS 605/9-6 states that three temporary commissioners are to be appointed after the court order of consolidation is entered; and
WHEREAS, Section 70 ILCS 605/3-9 states that the county chief executive officer shall appoint the aforementioned temporary commissioners; and
WHEREAS, Section 70 ILCS 605/4-1 states that after the term for the temporary commissioners expire, the three commissioners will need to be appointed to staggered terms of three years, two years, and one year; and
WHEREAS, your Chair requests that this County Board confirm the appointments of Michele Mrachek, Todd Needlman, and Joseph Bridges as commissioners of the Skokie Consolidated Drainage District for terms beginning on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, and ending on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the appointments of Michele Mrachek, Todd Needlman, and Joseph Bridges as commissioners of the Skokie Consolidated Drainage District for terms beginning on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, and ending on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 be, and the same are hereby confirmed.
