Discussion of budget-related Finance policies in advance of preparation of the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget.
Staff Summary
• At the April 2, 2026, Financial & Administrative Committee, staff reviewed recommended changes to the budget policies - seeking Committee feedback. The staff team then presented the final draft policies to the County’s Policy Coordinator Team of department representatives for additional feedback. The County Administrator and Chief Financial Officer will review comments received during this policy review period and solicit additional feedback from the Committee.
• The final policies, with any proposed changes, will be provided at the May 7, 2026, Financial and Administrative Committee meeting for consideration and action.
