Lake County Public Works has a need to repaint approximately 10 can lift stations in the Fox Lake Hills sanitary sewer system.
In accordance with the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication of the Fox Lake Hills Can Lift Stations Painting Project and four sealed bids were received ranging from $183,300 to $367,000. One bid was determined to be non-responsive.
The award of this contract is recommended to Capital Industrial Coatings, LLC, who submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid of $183,300.
The term of the contract will be for two years with the intent to paint five of the 10 can lift stations in the first year and the remaining five can lift stations in the second year.
Funds included in the Department’s FY26 and FY27 Budget will be utilized for this project.
This resolution authorizes and directs the County Purchasing Agent to execute a contract with Capital Industrial Coatings, LLC of Homewood, Illinois, in the amount of $183,300.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County Department of Public Works has a need to repaint 10 can lift stations that it owns and operates in the Fox Lake Hills sanitary sewer system; and
WHEREAS, to ensure continued reliable and effective sanitary sewer service, these can lift stations require continued maintenance and upgrades to prevent wear and tear due to the exposed environmental condition; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, a bid was called for the Can Lift Station Painting Project at various locations in the Fox Lake Hills sanitary sewer system; and
WHEREAS, Capital Industrial Coatings, LLC., was determined to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in the amount of $183,000 and the contract will offer a ...
