RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Lake County had nine non-standard fleet vehicle replacements that were unable to be procured through a state contract; and

WHEREAS, a bid was released where all participating dealerships were deemed non-responsive and non-awarded; and

WHEREAS, subsequent to the non-awarded bid, a round-table discussion held with local dealerships, including representatives from Lake County Division of Transportation and impacted departments determined that local dealers could not hold vehicles longer than one week; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 33.067 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Finance and LCDOT deemed a necessary emergency procurement to minimize disruption in services and operations; and

WHEREAS, the emergency procurement amount of $254,204.56 includes the vehicle purchase of the six vehicles.
