RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the goal of the Stormwater Management Commission's (SMC) Nippersink Creek Project is to provide structure specific flood risk information to prioritize future flood hazard mitigation actions; and
WHEREAS, the project is funded by a grant from Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP); and
WHEREAS, the SMC has entered into an agreement (HMGP-DR-4461-IL-036) with IEMA to receive $41,043.83 in grant funding, which is not included in the current year's budget; and
WHEREAS, the timely initiation and completion of the project is crucial for meeting the grant requirements and achieving project goals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $41,043.83 is hereby authorized in the Stormwater Management Commission Fund Revenue Account (212-0000000-45350-000-000-000-00000) for the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP-DR-4461-IL...
