RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County State's Attorney's Office has been awarded a Healing Illinois Grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS), for the period of November 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, in the amount of $12,000; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County State's Attorney's Office will use this funding towards a painted gun violence prevention mural in North Chicago to foster community awareness; and
WHEREAS, the Healing Illinois grant is in the amount of $12,000 and it is necessary to emergency appropriate this amount; and
WHEREAS, the State's Attorney's Office recommends that the Chair of the County Board, the State's Attorney and the Treasurer be authorized to execute the necessary documents to accept and execute the grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Healing Illinois grant awarded to the Lake County State's Attorney's Office by the Illinois Department of Human Services via the YWCA is hereby accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that $12,000 is hereby authorized for the Healing Illinois grant ...
