* The City of Waukegan and Lake County wish to enter into a new agreement stating the terms and conditions for energy, maintenance, and future costs of City owned traffic control devices and interconnection with Lake County PASSAGE, allowing maintenance of the City signals to be included in the County's annual traffic signal maintenance contract.
* This resolution authorizes a new agreement with the City of Waukegan and takes the place of and supersedes all prior agreements.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, maintains and operates, through Lake County PASSAGE, traffic signals on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, the City of Waukegan operates, and has jurisdiction over, certain traffic control signals within its corporate boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the effective operation of City-owned traffic control signals through Lake County PASSAGE is beneficial to the safety and welfare of the City and the County as a whole; and
WHEREAS, Lake County and the City of Waukegan desire to enter into an agreement stating the terms and conditions for energy, maintenance, and future costs of City owned traffic control devices and interconnection with Lake County PASSAGE, a draft copy of said agreement is attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by this Lake County Board, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County, be authorized, and they are hereby directed to execute a master agreement, and any subsequent amendm...
