Staff Summary
· Lake County desires to enter into a contract for Land Line, ISDN-PRI Services.
· Requests for Proposals were extended to twenty five (25) potential suppliers; five (5) responses were received and opened on January 12, 2010.
· The Information Technology Department evaluated all responses.
· The other responses received ranged from $119,318 to $200,040.
· The Evaluation Committee determined that the proposal submitted by First Communications is the most favorable proposal for Lake County.
· This contract will cost the County an estimated amount of $95,040 for a two (2) year contract, charging to account 101-1300020-71940-13050.

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, proposals were called for by publication for Land Line, ISDN-PRI Services; and
WHEREAS, these services include ISDN-PRI Digital service connections to the Public Telephone Networks for Lake County; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, request for proposals were extended to twenty five (25) suppliers; and
WHEREAS, five (5) responses were received and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, Illinois, on January 12, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the evaluation committee determined that the proposal submitted by First Communications is the most favorable proposal for Lake County, in the estimated amount of $95,040; other proposals received ranged from $119,318 to $200,040.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a two (2) year contract with three (3) additional one (1) year renewal options with First Communications, Lombard, Illinois, for Land Line, ISDN-PRI Services in the...
