                     2010 Pavement Markings for Concrete Pavements: Appropriation

                     The county has miles of pavement markings for medians, lane lines and cross walks on concrete pavements.  These markings last longer than paint but eventually require replacement.

                     This replacement project is in the 2010 program.

                     Before a project letting can be held an appropriation of $33,000 of Matching Tax funds is necessary.

R E S O L U T I O N

 

WHEREAS, in order to preserve the condition of pavement markings on concrete pavements on various county highways, the Division of Transportation annually undertakes removal, replacement or refurbishment of a portion of  these markings; and

 

WHEREAS, a survey of these pavement markings on concrete pavements throughout the county highway system has been completed; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that there is hereby appropriated $33,000 of Matching Tax funds for the 2010 removal, replacement or refurbishment of pavement markings on the concrete pavements of various county highways and designated as Section 10-00000-16-GM.
