RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Darrell Road, County Highway 44, is a designated route on the County highway system; and

WHEREAS, to ensure the free flow of traffic and the safety and welfare of the traveling public, Lake County believes it would be beneficial that the intersections of Darrell Road with Dowell Road and Fisher Road be improved, inclusive of roundabouts, drainage improvements, and non-motorized facilities; and

WHEREAS, this improvement requires the conveyance of 1.279 acres of right-of-way and 0.467 acres of temporary easement from the State of Illinois via the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR); and

WHEREAS, the 103rd General Assembly of the State of Illinois authorized the IDNR to execute and deliver to Lake County a quit claim deed for the required right-of-way as part of Public Act 103-77 (S.B. 1066) on June 12, 2023, a true copy of which is attached hereto; and

WHEREAS, the IDNR requires a resolution from Lake County to accept the conveyance of real property for the above-mentioned improvement.
