Staff Summary
* There is a need to enter into a contract to provide design of mechanical and electrical services for elevator modernization at the adult detention center in Waukegan, electrical switchboard replacement at the Belvidere Medical Building (BMB) and generator sizing study for Robert W. Depke Juvenile Justice Center Expansion Project.
* In accordance with the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, a Statement of Interest was issued for Professional Architectural and Engineering Services for the Lake County Facilities Operations Department and responses were received from 13 firms.
* Based on staff evaluations, Stanley Consultants of Chicago, Illinois, is the most qualified firm to perform this work and a scope of services was negotiated for this project.
* This resolution authorizes the execution of an agreement for professional engineering services with Stanley Consultants of Chicago, Illinois, in the amount not to exceed $82,400.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, there is a need to enter into a contract to provide design of mechanical and electrical services for the design of mechanical and electrical services for upgrading three elevators at various Lake County facilities; and
WHEREAS, the contract provides for the design of mechanical and electrical services for elevator modernization at the adult detention center in Waukegan, electrical switchboard replacement at the Belvidere Medical Building (BMB) and generator sizing study for Robert W. Depke Juvenile Justice Center Expansion Project; and
WHEREAS, due to the specialized nature of this project, the County requires design services from an engineering firm qualified in this type of engineering; and
