R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, maintains 295 centerline miles of designated county highways on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, needs to acquire guardrail materials and contract services to repair various guardrail installations on the county highway system in fiscal year 2012; and
WHEREAS, in order to acquire necessary guardrail materials or contract services, an appropriation of funds is required.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $20,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds, for the acquisition of guardrail materials and contract services needed to maintain various guardrail installations on the county highway system in fiscal year 2012 and designated as Section 12-00000-04-GM.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the "Agreement of Understanding" between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 22, 2003.
