RESOLUTION

                     WHEREAS, Fairfield Road (County Highway 49) is a designated route on the county highway system; and

                     WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the intersection of Fairfield Road at Nippersink Road could be improved by widening, resurfacing, and the installation of permanent traffic control signals; and

                     WHEREAS, Plans, specifications and estimates of costs for this improvement have been completed and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and

                     WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held an appropriation of funds is needed.

                                          NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that there is hereby appropriated $2,560,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the widening, resurfacing and the installation of permanent traffic control signals at the intersection of Fairfield Road and Nippersink Road designated by Section 02-00150-02-TL.
