· Century Automatic Sprinkler Co., Inc, Gurnee, Il is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for No. 1) the upgrade of the existing Automatic Sprinkler System for $76,386 and for No. 3) replacement of existing sprinkler heads in the kitchen for $3,060 for a total contract amount not to exceed $79,446.
· Fox Valley Fire and Safety Company, Elgin IL is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for No. 2) replacement of the Wet Chemical Fire Suppression System for $45,600.
· One non-responsive bid was received from Century Automatic Sprinkler Co., Inc, Gurnee, IL for the Wet Chemical Fire Suppression System.

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance bids were called for by publication to upgrade the existing Automatic Sprinkler System in the Babcox Justice Center (bid item 1), replace the Wet Chemical Fire Suppression System in the kitchen (bid item 2) and replace existing sprinkler heads in the kitchen (bid item 3); and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, invitations for bids were extended to the eleven (11) firms; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from four (4) vendors and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, Illinois on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.; and
