RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Kim Burke began her service with the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center on April 11, 2014, as Manager of Healthcare Operations, a position she held through April 13, 2018; and
WHEREAS, effective April 14, 2018, Kim Burke assumed the position of Director of Healthcare Operations, providing steadfast leadership and operational expertise that were essential to the strength, stability, and success of the Department's Federally Qualified Health Centers; and
WHEREAS, Kim Burke successfully guided the Federally Qualified Health Centers through numerous Health Resources and Services Administration Operational Site Visits and Joint Commission surveys, bringing exceptional preparation, knowledge, and leadership to each review; and
WHEREAS, Kim's leadership and vision for improving the quality and outcomes for our patients led us to being recognized this year as a "Silver" health center quality leader by the Health Resources and Services Administration placing us in the top 20% of health centers nationally. We were also recognized as leaders in diabetes health, heart health, preventive health, and advancing health information technology for quality; and
WHEREAS, Kim Burke's unmatched knowledge and institutional experience made her a trusted resource to colleagues and leaders and a true backbone of the Federally Qualified Health Centers; and
WHEREAS, throughout her tenure, Kim Burke remained a dedicated advocate for both staff and patients, consistently ensuring that their needs, voices, and well-being remained at the center of the work; and
WHEREAS, Kim Burke's integrity, commitment, and unwavering support have left a lasting legacy, and her retirement leaves extraordinarily large shoes to fill.
