RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided WIOA Opioid Crisis Dislocated Worker Grant modification totaling $105,766 to the Lake County Workforce Development Department; and
WHEREAS, this funding covers personnel expenses along with participant training and wages for workers impacted by the opioid crisis for the program period of November 1, 2019 through June 30, 2022; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $105,766 is requested to allocate these funds into the Workforce Department’s county Fiscal Year 2021 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $105,766 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the WIOA Opioid Crisis Dislocated Worker Grant be accepted.
