Staff Summary
* Lake County entered into contract with Motorola Solutions, Inc., Schaumburg, Illinois to provide a Countywide Communications System on July 8, 2014.
* Motorola Solutions, Inc. identified 12 sites for the radio towers to lease, of which two are owned by Lake County.
* There is a need to enter into a lease agreement to provide Motorola Solutions, Inc. access to the property at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois to install, remove, replace, modify, maintain, and operate a communications facility including backup power sources and other associated equipment, fixtures, wiring, and cabling.
* The communications equipment will be owned by Motorola Solutions, Inc. and used for emergency service, public safety, and other governmental purposes as part of their STARCOM21 system.
* Motorola Solutions, Inc. shall be responsible for the maintenance of the communications equipment and the existing uninterruptible power supplies, dehydrator, and air conditioning unit.
* The five year lease and utility payment is in the annual amount of $4,220.46, which is inclusive of rent and utilities.
* It is hereby requested that the County Board Chair be authorized to execute the lease agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc., Schaumburg, Illinois.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Lake County owns the site at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, there is currently space available at 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois; and
