Public Hearing to consider certain proposed subdivision and school/park contribution-related text amendments to Chapter 151: Unified Development Ordinance of the Lake County, Illinois Code of Ordinances.
Staff Summary
• Planning, Building and Development staff have prepared a comprehensive update to Chapter 151 of the Lake County, Illinois Code of Ordinances for which minor substantive amendments to Sections 151.185 through 151.221 are necessary. These amendments, consisting of changes to the subdivision and school/park contribution provisions of Chapter 151, are attached as Exhibit D.
• In accordance with state statute, the Planning, Building, Zoning and Environment (PBZE) Committee conducts the public hearing for text amendments related to subdivision requirements and school and park contributions. Action was taken at the September 30, 2026 PBZE Committee meeting to schedule a public hearing on a series of such amendments contained in Exhibit D.
• Action on the amendments will be taken with agenda item 8.2.
