RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Lake County has a Cybersecurity Awareness Training Policy that reduces the risk and impact from cyber security threats by educating employees on their role in combatting information security threats; and
WHEREAS, this policy was first approved by the County Board on March 14, 2023; and
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed and updated the policy, now titled 5.2 Cybersecurity Awareness Training Policy; and
WHEREAS, this policy was developed using County Policy 1.1: Policy Making Framework, ensuring all County departments and stakeholders had opportunity to review and provide comment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the attached Cybersecurity Awareness Training Policy document is hereby adopted and shall take effect immediately.
