Title
Proposed Water Well Program Administrative Procedures and Policies - Kritz
Body
Lake County Code of Ordinances Chapter 170 authorizes and directs the Health Officer to develop procedures, practices, and policies to interpret and enforce the rules and regulations establishing minimum standards for water well and closed loop well location, installation, modification, sealing, operation, maintenance, and for monitoring of all private, semi-private, and non-community water systems. These procedures and policies provide context and interpretation of the requirements in Chapter 170. They provide direction to staff on how to conduct activities of the program ranging from plan reviews and permit approvals, water and closed loop well system design, enforcement, well sealings, dewatering wells, variances, conducting inspections, and assure consistency and continuity in program procedures and policies.
These proposed administrative procedures and policies were reviewed and approved by the Environmental Health Advisory Committee at their August 20, 2018 meeting.
Suggested Motion
