•                     The Lake County HOME Consortium is a qualified PJ and has been awarded $6,025,377 of HOME-ARP funds.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 appropriated $5 billion to provide housing, services, and shelter to individuals experiencing homeless and other vulnerable populations; and

WHEREAS, HOME-ARP funds will be administered through State and local Participating Jurisdictions PJs qualified to receive annual HOME funds; and

WHEREAS, The Lake County HOME Consortium is a qualified PJ and has been awarded $6,025,377 of HOME-ARP funds.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that Chair of the Lake County Board or their designee is hereby authorized to execute the necessary documents to accept HOME-ARP funds; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $6,025,377.00 is hereby authorized in the Fiscal Year 2021 budget in the Fund 740 HUD Grants budget as detailed in the attachment.
