RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, with the vacancy of the Chief Financial Officer/Director of Finance position, County Administration contracted with MGT.US for executive recruitment services; and
WHEREAS, the recruitment efforts of MGT yielded 32 resumes from two countries and nine states; and
WHEREAS, following their initial screening process, the search firm presented candidates for further consideration based on established criteria; and
WHEREAS, working with MGT, the County Administrator's Office established a structured interview process that included meeting with ten County leaders, the Finance management team, and fourteen other members of the Finance Department, and included exercises related to current County finance policy; and
WHEREAS, Regina Tuczak, the current Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Executive Director of the Illinois Police Officers' Pension Investment Fund, excelled throughout the initial interview, the meet and greet with the department, the research/presentation exercise, as well as subsequent interviews; and
WHEREAS, Regina Tuczak has been found to meet the requirements of the Chief Financial Officer/Director of Finance position and demonstrated the ability to quickly learn about the financial operations of Lake County; and
WHEREAS, the County Administrator coordinated an interview of Regina Tuczak with the Chair of the County Board and Chair of the County Finance and Administration Committee, and
WHEREAS, the County Administrator hereby recommends the appointment of Regina Tuczak as the Chief Financial Officer/Director of Finance for Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that Regina Tuczak be appointed Chief Financial Officer/Director of Finance at an annual salary of $188,000, with other terms and conditions of employment outlined in the Letter of Acceptance (atta...
