Body
WHEREAS, the County of Lake has entered into a Delegation Agreement with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) for the purpose of implementing a local solid waste inspection and enforcement program; and
WHEREAS, this program is being implemented through an agreement between the County and the Lake County Health Department, with funding budgeted by the County Board from the Solid Waste Management Tax Fund; and
WHEREAS, the IEPA has informed the County that it intends to continue state funding for the solid waste inspection and enforcement program in the amount of $91,486.29 for the period July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010; and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary to provide for the proper approvals for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Chairman of the Board is hereby authorized to execute the necessary documentation to accept a Solid Waste Enforcement Grant from the IEPA in the amount of $91,486.29 for the period July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Administrator shall coordinate the execution and management of this grant with the Lake County Health Department.
