WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided a Program Year 2012 grant under the Workforce Investment Act to the Lake County Workforce Development Department which contains a reduction of $340,454 from the budgeted allocation included in the County FY2012 budget; and
WHEREAS, the total grant for Lake County Workforce Development is $4,727,276, and
WHEREAS, this grant is for the fiscal year July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013, and will be used to provide funding for adults, dislocated workers, incumbent workers and youth; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to approve a reduction in the Workforce Development Department appropriation of $340,454 and to authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that a reduction in the Workforce Development Department appropriation of $340,454 is hereby approved and that the Workforce Investment Act Grant in the amount of $4,727,276 be accepted. A chart of accounts is attached.
