Staff Summary
• After reviewing voting sites for the April 1, 2025 Consolidated Election, voting site changes are proposed to provide better locations due to a polling site request and precinct reorganization.
• This proposal re-assigns affected precincts to appropriate voting sites which have sufficient parking and voting space as well as full accessibility for all voters.

ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, Lake County has 431 voting precincts in 18 townships; and
WHEREAS, for Moraine Township precincts 211, 212, 213, and 216, the Highwood Public Library & Community Center will replace the Highwood Recreation Center due to a polling site request; and
WHEREAS, for Moraine Township precincts 227, 228, 231 and 232, the Courtyard by Marriott will replace Red Oak School due to reorganization of precinct assignments; and
WHEREAS, each said precinct is being relocated to a voting site which has sufficient parking and voting space as well as full accessibility for all voters;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, the attached “Exhibit A” sets forth the voting sites assigned to the affected precincts, which are identified by name and location.
