· Proposals were called for by publication for an Email Archiving Solution.
· Request for proposals were sent to twenty-seven (27) vendors and thirteen (13) vendor responses were received.
· An Information Technology Committee held interviews with four (4) vendors.
· In accordance with the evaluation criteria established in the Request for Proposal and the interview, the Evaluation Committee determined that the proposal submitted by Ford and Associates is most favorable proposal for Lake County.
· This contract will cost the County $53,130 for the first year, including software maintenance renewals charging the costs thereof to account #101-1103165-84040.

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, proposals were called for by publication for an Email Archiving Solution; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, request for proposals were sent to twenty-seven (27) vendors; and
WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received from thirteen (13) vendors and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, Illinois, on Friday May 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, an Information Technology Evaluation Committee held interviews with four (4) vendors; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Evaluation Criteria established in the Request for Proposal and the interview, the Evaluation Committee determined that the proposal submitted by Ford and Associates for an Email Archiving Solution is the most favorable proposal for Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to negotiate a contract with Ford and Associates, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, in the amount of $53,130, plus annual software maintenance renewals, for an...
