• As part of the Fiscal Year 2025 Capital Budget Process and Facilities Capital Improvement Plan, Jail Medical Air Handler Units Replacement Project was authorized.

• This resolution authorizes and directs the Purchasing Agent to execute a contract with Amber Mechanical Contractors, LLC of Alsip, Illinois, in the amount of $3,491,000.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, there is a need to replace the Air Handler Units for the Babcox Medical Bay; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for the Babcox Medical Bay Air Handler Unit Replacement Project; and
WHEREAS, electronic bids were received from two vendors and publicly opened via Zoom on October 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, Amber Mechanical Contractors, LLC is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $3,491,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Amber Mechanical Contractors, LLC of Alsip, Illinois in the amount of $3,491,000 for the Babcox Medical Bay Air Handler Unit Replacement.
