Staff Summary
· A Victim Offender Mediation program has been a priority for the Lake County Juvenile Justice Council and the State’s Attorney’s Office for several years.
· The program is for the performance period of Dec 1, 2011 to November 30, 2012 and addresses the goals of reducing juvenile recidivism and assuring offender accountability.
· The program is 90% funded by the grant in the amount of $29,190, and a 10% cash match in the amount of $3,250 is required; no match funds are being requested from the County’s general fund, but are being provided from local partners or the State’s Attorney’s Money Laundering Forfeiture Fund.
